Workshop Series

Activism: Building a Better World

Sexuality Awareness Program Training

Industrial Workers of the World Organizer Training

For anyone who seeks to organize a union in their workplace. 2-day intensive workshop to increase capacity and skills, with an emphasis on the IWW Solidarity Unionism model. Topics include: how to begin an organizing campaign, preparing to go public with your union, applicable federal/provincial labour laws & more. Sliding scale cost. How can we overcoming the domesticating and confining education we experience everyday in our major institutions and media? What does a truly liberating education look like and how do we engage with it?  Come and share your thoughts and experiences.

In our contemporary culture, learning how to learn and how to think independently is just as important as mastering any particular technical skill.

And to learn the things we do need, we need to learn to find (or create) opportunities and spaces outside of the traditional institutions and approaches that have ‘taught’ us how to be ourselves.

This event will offer the opportunity to explore ways of learning – based on our experiences and our aspirations – and discuss what is being done (or could be) in the community to facilitate an ongoing connected process of individual and community learning.
